Corporate Tax Summary | Rhode Island corporations and qualified foreign corporations must pay an income tax. The tax rate is 9 percent of net income attributable to Rhode Island. In addition, Rhode Island corporations and qualified foreign corporations must pay a Franchise Tax of $2.50 for each $10,000 of authorized capital. Authorized capital is the total authorized shares multiplied by the shares’ par value. No par stock is valued at $100 per share. The minimum Franchise Tax is $250. |
